What do you like about working at Aerotek?

The most enjoyable part was interacting with my customers and building that trust with them. I wanted to make sure that I kept them informed and up to the minute with financial changes that would or would not benefit them.

What don't you like about working at Aerotek?

The thing that bothered me the most was that my team leader heard me on the phone with one of my customers and they were asking me about an interest rate with the economy and when the best time to make a change would be. Well I feel that customer has every right to know the honest truth about what, when & how will be most beneficial to him; but I was told I needed to tell my customers that I don't know if they call me for help and my professional opinion. I look at it as if I was the customer and I call basically my money manager for advice or needed help understanding how something worked that means I have put all my trust in them I feel like an employer should never tell you to lie when your customer calls you and you have more insight on what is going on. Professionally it was a very big turn off for me.

What suggestions do you have for management?

My suggestions would be to put more time and thought into who you are hiring as team leaders and make sure they know the business enough to be able to answer a new team member's question about a loan that they were processing. On my third day there I had a question on something I was doing for a customer, well the team leader told me to tell them to just go to the website and do it themselves. So, they definitly need more thorough interviews and take a closer look at the potential employee's background.

What do you like about working at Aerotek?

The ability to choose the assignment that is right for me. Work and personal life are easy to balance. It is nice to get paid weekly. They normally have many assignments available.

What don't you like about working at Aerotek?

It's difficult for Aerotek Orlando to handle problems that come up on the job that involve them stepping in to resolve it with the customer. It is difficult for Aerotek Orlando to get you to a better assignment if you already have an assignment. You would have to quit your assignment first and hope to get hired onto the next assignment. The leave is given a week at a time at the completion of 2000 hours. This was very difficult. No raises are given or increase in benefits are seen after working 2 years. Lately, the recruiters in the office withold information on new assignments. Hearing about an assignment may actually depend on the recruiter you see.

What suggestions do you have for management?

Give increased benefits after a person has worked in the company a long time. Give options to interview for better assignments after much time has passed working on a single assignment. Give leave each week. Recruiters should share information on all assignments available.

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

Wear professional dress to interview. Bring a great resume. Research the available positions online before going into the interview. Accept the job that is closer to what you would like to do and hours you would like to work. Don't expect very high of an hourly wage. This job is what it is.

What do you like about working at Aerotek?

Call you only if they can't get anyone to fill the position, if someone else comes in they drop you and that promised interview like a hot potato.

What don't you like about working at Aerotek?

It depends on the recruiter, most of them lie about assignments. They need you and don't need you to work. I have been in the office and has heard them ask someone whom they had placed on a new assignment if your sister, or friends are down stairs, we also have something for them, meaning work assignments but by the way I've been waiting for a recruiter for over 40 minutes, and only left the office with a fake promise assignment.

What suggestions do you have for management?

New staff, or better training for old staff. Don't use people, stop only calling who you can get at the moment, and when someone else calls back, or someone else walks through that door, stop dropping your only possible candidate, For if the shoe was on the other foot you would not like it. There once may have been a time when you where unemployed, try to remember that if you can.

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.....

"I am an ambitious young recruiter looking for a better opportunity to develop business and make more money. Please just give me a chance to meet with you and you will not be disappointed."

What do you like about working at Aerotek?

It has been a great place to learn how to recruit. It has developed me as a better business professional and recruiter. The training that was given to me at Aerotek was amazing.

What don't you like about working at Aerotek?

Aerotek hires recruiters with no experience, so there are a lot of young people and high turn over. The managing style across the board is very micro-managed because of this culture. Aerotek makes us do a lot of things that don't equate in closing deals. We have daily meetings of up to an hour and a half, very thorough weekly reports, and recording every daily activity in order to satisfy corporate numbers. It is also very established, so they don't have the kind of opportunity I am looking for.

What suggestions do you have for management?

They should put more emphases on the quality of work and closing business than number of calls and activity.

"It was a competitive environment which I learned a lot from established lenders and a well versed bank in BB&T."

Aerotek Review by Assistant Manager in Raleigh, NC on

4.40

What do you like about working at Aerotek?

The opportunities for advancement were very good early on. However, the company started closing locations and the opportunities diminished. It was also a very professional environment to work in.

What don't you like about working at Aerotek?

As stated before, the opportunities for advancement diminished and I am always working hard to progress in my career.

What suggestions do you have for management?

No real suggestions for upper management. My immediate manager had a hard time allowing me to progress because of the job I did for him, easing his workload. He has since been let go, and as the Regional Manager stated to me, he wishes he had a position open for me as I was well ready for the next rung on the ladder.

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

Maintain a professional attire and demeanor as this is a bank owned company and many of the bank standards have trickled down into this company.

What do you like about working at Aerotek?

Interaction with other people

What don't you like about working at Aerotek?

Our Supervisor, Olga Sinitsanya, is an uncaring rude demeaning person, who will go out of her way to exercise her power over everyone she has "supervised". She has ingratiated herself to other staff and those in a position of authority to herself. She has committed fraud and embezzlement, has had inappropriate relations with Aerotek staff under her supervision, has had inappropriate relations with NOA staff. When reported to HR and home office, she was not investigated due to the fact that her family is in positions of power and authority. All staff who have complained have been "reassigned" elsewhere.

What suggestions do you have for management?

Managment shoulld perfomr a proper investigation into the numerous complaints coming from the Nintendo contract regarding Olga.

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"This review is a brief insight into my current working position."

Aerotek Review by Mortgage Specialist in Tempe, AZ on

What do you like about working at Aerotek?

The compensation is fair. They are flexible with hours due to the fact that it is a contract position. They understand most employees are seeking permanent employment and allow for time for interviews.

What don't you like about working at Aerotek?

I don't like not having job security. I also don't like that there is not very much room for advancement. A company is only going to promote a contract employee so far.

What suggestions do you have for management?

They need to work on organization and communication between the departments.

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

Understand that most of the time if something doesn't make much sense, there isn't really anything you can do about it. The management doesn't understand much about the actual process of the lower positions and doesn't take the time to listen and realize there is probably a much better way to get things done.

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

No, matter of facts, my last day with the client was January 14. Since then I just receive a call from one of the recruiter, because I call her couple of time after the referral send to her by my Account Executive in Detroit. Again, they do not follow up with the people that help them to their monthly revenue line.

What don't you like about working at Aerotek?

The technicans were at the time Union technicians and I was able to quickly determine who actually did their job and did it correctly and who slacked off. However with the union protection it was difficult to make changes and in order for me and the team to be successful I quickly realize who I had to keep my eyes on to ensure they had completed their work properly.

What suggestions do you have for management?

Keep trainlg on the cutting edge as in all technical activites things change at a very fast pace.

"Aerotek places a software engineer on the best projects in town."

Aerotek Review by SoftwareTest Engineer Contract in Denver, CO on

3.80

What do you like about working at Aerotek?

Contracting at Aerotek was as simple as faxing a timesheet to the homeoffice each week, which allows the engineer to focus on the software engineering work at hand.

What don't you like about working at Aerotek?

On a contract to hire position the interests of the recruiter in landing the engineer in a direct hire is somewhat clouded.

What suggestions do you have for management?

After the employee has satisfied the 3 month contract, management should take steps to make sure that the recruiter is working with the hiring manager to transfer the employment to a direct hire position.

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

The recruiters at Aerotek have the inside scoop on the development environment and are the best resource to work with to prepare for the job interview.
