"I love the student contact. I actually think we have the best online education available; good product, proud to be selling it Pay is good; benefits are decent."

"Run for hills. Do not take this job unless you are destitute That's how we all got here."

What don't you like about working at Career Education?

"Using a computer system to define my day. There are no changes allowed to schedule, and all absences are counted as unexcused. We can use our sick time for receiving wage compensation but we still are dinged for having an unexcused absence. We're graded on our adherence to the computer schedule and our students can suffer from this."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Loose the metrics Let us do our jobs without a computer system guiding our day down the minute."

"The style of management and leadership gave the perception that employees could not be trusted; expanding schedules (ie. late evenings and weekends) caused employees and directors to become unhappy and resulted in less productivity."
