Our technology team is made up of a group of talented devs who are passionate about solving complex technical issues by building tight, scalable solutions. We are builders, hackers, entrepreneurs and innovators driven to delight our customers with a premium quality entertainment experience.

We keep our teams small. Though we have a unified team for our core platform that serves all of our backend services, we have teams of about three or four who work together to build out native apps for our mobile and living room devices.

On Hulu’s Office Digs

The first things you will notice when you walk into our office are the walls covered floor-to-ceiling with portraits of every team member showing off his or her personality and passions. Our huge photo walls show that our people are our most precious asset.

We are frugal, and proudly so. We don’t have fancy offices or swanky furniture. Things like Fruit Snacks boxes hold up our monitors. We believe the money we conserve through our frugality allows us to invest in our customers in ways others cannot.

Our open workplace supports a balance between three work modes: heads down focus, active collaboration and serendipitous interaction. Even though everyone sits out on the open floor we also have many private conference rooms for spirited debate and creative white-boarding.

We also play as hard as we work. We believe creative minds are at their best when they have regular breaks, so we’ve created open space for Hulugans to hang out, relax and challenge each other to a game of Ping-Pong, an arcade game, Pop-A-Shot or darts.

Our fully stocked kitchen is at the center of our workspace to encourage regular visits and spur connection. We invest in proper brain fuel -- everything from fruits, vegetables, trail mix, string cheese and yogurt to Lucky Charms, Clif bars, chocolate, pretzels and Peet’s coffee, and ice cream – it’s all available anytime for our fellow Hulu-gans.
