"Barton associates are not for the faint of heart. You must be able to take critique constantly internally and externally. Your timing must be good with clients and if you lack charisma or ambition, this won’t be the job for you. It’s demanding and saturated and difficult to put a deal together with credentialing at a hospital and insurance enrollment for the doctors we staff. I was fortunate to have a lucrative, successful career here. Pay is good if deals are going through and you’re able to maintain client relationships. However, I am part of a small majority. Retention is a major issue at Barton, and because of turnover, especially lately, our physician network is beginning to give us less consideration. It eventually led to me leaving the company. As an account person, it’s extremely annoying to have 10-12 searches out with no candidates to present to the client."

"I have worked for Barton Associates for the past year. I really appreciate the ability to grow with the company and earn uncapped commission. The training they offer is amazing as they truly invest in their employees. The only catch is the long hours. Other than that they have a welcoming atmosphere and really want their team to succeed."

"Barton is a barrier to healthcare for the vulnerable and disparate. Unethical. Unjust. Immoral.I would love to work in this destitute area, I am qualified and desire this. But Barton says 'no raise', 'no equitable pay' and 'no contract release' because of their corporate greed. So in honoring the contract, I am unable to deliver healthcare to this community."

What do you like about working at Barton Associates?

"the other employees in the office, otherwise- nothing.. place is an absolute joke"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Turn right back around and get back on CyberCoders.com. This place will only waste your time.. on the bright side you'll learn how to screw people over for money, and how not to run an office"

What don't you like about working at Barton Associates?

"If you like being micromanaged 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, then this is the job for you! If you want someone going through your personal files and auditing them behind your back, or even having your in progress files audited in front of 15 people on a big screen tv all the while getting sarcastically made fun of and verbally abused so your boss can scare the other employees into attempting to hit the RIDICULOUS production goals- I suggest you apply to this company. If you are that much of a masochist then you will fit right in"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hm, where to begin. I would not have business hours from 7-5, and then tell my employees to come in a half hour early without paying them for the extra time. I probably wouldn't be an egocentric self serving dbag that enjoyed ripping people to shreds during our daily verbal beat down. I would also spend less time lying to employees and the physicians that work for us and spend more time being honest and forthcoming."
