What do you like about working at Avaya?

"I really enjoyed the opportunity to become a member on the ISO audit team and learn new responsibilities. I had more than six promotions and was always excited when new opportunity came my way. I loved working for the company, and I loved the people I worked with, with a few exceptions."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be yourself, and state the facts. You interview them too, so you can make sure it's the type of business philosophy you believe in."

What don't you like about working at Avaya?

"I was FMP'd via a phone call. They didn't even have the decency to meet with me after 17 years with the company. That hurt more than being FMP'd."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management should lead and manage. They didn't coach. They should look outside the box and remember that the employees are a big reason for the success of a company. Management misled and didn't keep their word to employees. Managers didn't work with their teams. Management needed an overhaul. I hope it's better now, because I really liked the direction AVAYA, as a whole, was going originally, and I wanted to do whatever I could to make that happen. Oh well, that was not meant to be."
