"Aspen Dental is poor-quality, retail dentistry at the VERY BEST. They care FIRST ABOUT THEIR MONEY, then only a distant second about their patients. Further, “corporate Aspen” has absolutely NO CONTROL OVER WHAT HAPPENS in the local offices. They talk a good story about “their policies": limiting harassment, keeping things legal, protecting those who file legitimate complaints – BUT, they would MUCH RATHER HAVE THE MONEY from those local offices than actually create a decent, hostility-free, and safe working environment for their employees. BE VERY CAUTIOUS ABOUT WORKING FOR ASPEN – especially in Middle Tennessee – because if you’re not “one of their in-gang” members there, you will be run out for any and no reason. BEWARE – Tennessee is an “at-will” state and NO ONE – INCLUDING CORPORATE ASPEN HR – will help you there! WORST EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE EVER!"

"Aspen Dental is poorly managed, the model is designed to be chaotic, does not provide proper training and is all about the MONEY. My management training was for 10 weeks in FL, I only had 2 days of hands on training. and the other was reading, reading and reading modules. I drove over 130 miles daily to read training modules that I could have read at home on my laptop. I was not allowed to ask questions and was often sent back to a cold room to continue reading. When I did arrive in MS and started working, I was constantly told my process was incorrect, "It's not the Aspen Way". What is the "Aspen Way", I asked and where do I find it? It must be part of a secret society because nobody could tell me where to find it. Aspen says they are there to support you but be careful. The doctor and regional manger will have memory loss and leave you on an island by yourself. When I was appointed as manager at the MS location, the doctor called the regional manager and told her, he did not want me to be the manager based on what he was told by the previous administration at this same location. The clinical staff was also told by the previous administration not to follow my leadership and direction, left the office in an administrative mess that I had to clean up along with a handful of bratty teenagers to manage especially, the clinical team. The lab tech, dental assistant and hygienist were rude and disrespectful. They often lied on me to get their way. The previous dental assistant was lazy and often cried over how low her raise was which was due to the previous manger and doctor recommendations. The doctor and regional manager believed whatever they said and never held them accountable... why, because "It's hard to replace a lab tech and hygienist." per the regional manager. Why would the clinical team be soooo disrespectful you may ask?... due to their loyalty to the previous manager and assistant office manager and their continued relationship with them. The doctor changed"

"I love what I do, but there is no communication within the company, the regional managers and up don't seem to care about the employees. A lot of co-workers feel the same. The respect I give does not get returned. It's hard to work for a company who doesn't really care for its employees. They do a lot of talking!!!!!! That's about it."

"This company has helped me progress to the place I find myself today. But I don't believe I have any upward mobility in this company. There also seems to be a lack of appreciation for the employee and respect for my work I put in. The management is also disorganized and incentive driven."
