"Honestly I really do not have anything to say because; I know they will always be there for me."

"Very constructive, team-oriented environment. Opportunity to work autonomously without anyone micromanaging or looking over your shoulder. Military mentality means everyone in the office pulls their weight - there's no worry about having to make up for slackers' lack of work ethic."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Bring your A-game and be prepared to be away from your family a LOT. If you can handle the stress of writing code at 0300 in the morning and running on 3-4 hours of sleep, you'll never find a better place to work. If that sounds anything less than exhilarating to you, you're looking in the wrong place."

What don't you like about working at Army National Guard?

"Due to the nature of my position, there is very little room for in-house promotion or advancement. Also, being a government job, I am near the bottom of the salary bracket for the type of work I do (especially considering the security clearance I hold and the amount of personal information I regularly handle) and the amount of time I put in (often working nearly 24/7 for weeks on end)."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Honestly, absolutely none. For the first time in my adult life, I can honestly say I am working with and under the finest men and women I've ever met. Our command team is incredibly efficient and genuinely cares about their soldiers/employees, our middle management supervises JUST enough to be helpful without being overbearing, and our junior supervisors work WITH their teams to implement new ideas instead of providing the ideas then simply watching their minions work."

"I love being an Officer in the National Guard. I love being able to make a difference in my community."

"You need to have a college degree and you need to graduate officer school."

"There is nothing I do not like about working at the Guard."

"All my commanders are very capable individuals. They are always open to suggestions."

"Its a part time position in the national guard so make sure you have the ability to either go to college of get a full time job to go along with it."

"Waking up before the rest of the population. We have Physical Training early."

"The same structure that sets it apart from others makes it its own weakness, in the sense that you are stuck in the same level for as long as possible. Especially since government has a say as to how much you can earn."

"It is a tough environment where you can make suggestions since is a military structure, you know what it is that has to be done and it's done correctly."

"I do not like how drill weekends typically fall on days that I have work."
