"I worked for Apple for just under 3 years. During that time I was able to grow and become on the top geniuses at both the stores I worked at. There is a great work/life balance and the management seems to actually care. The compensation for senior leveled genius is not as good as it should be, however benefits, employee purchase programs, stock portions, and more help. I would 100% recommend working at Apple to anyone, and have actually gotten a few people to join in on the fun!"

"Apple is dynamic, fast-paced, and always interesting. They have razor sharp focus on the customer experience. So much so that building your own skill set often get put by the wayside. All of my excellent experiences are centered around their product which can sometimes be an obstacle to getting other external positions. The company truly inspires me to become a better leader at what ever I do, but other companies want to see a manager title before they believe your leadership experience."

"It is fast-paced, with quick work days and fun people to be around."

"It doesn't matter how nerdy you are; you have to have a personality that will captivate others. Everything else falls into place after that."

What don't you like about working at Apple?

"There is never a break. I feel hesitant about calling in sick. The same people get recognized over and over."

"I would want a more personal touch with the employees."

"I like people and technology, experience over profit, and people over bottom lines."

"Be focused on the product and the customer. Don't ramble on about your tech knowledge. Talk about your experience in helping others."

What don't you like about working at Apple?

"We're emphasizing timing people at the bar rather than trying to solve people's tech problem. We have no work-life balance. Shifts range from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. What father wants to get home to his kid at 11:30 at night They keep finding ways to squeeze more out of one person by doubling us up at the bar with two customers. We're not paid for shutdown days because of a hurricane."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Return to emphasizing customer experience over bottom lines. Let the designers focus on innovation rather than bringing in suits to the creative process."

What do you like about working at Apple?

"I enjoy being around my colleagues. We have a fun time with all the stress. We really are a big family. Occasionally, you get a really cool person who you can really make their day and help them out. That makes you feel good about your job."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It's still a job in retail; don't forget that. Do your best to make a name for yourself quickly and find out what you want to do quickly within the company, or else you'll get stuck."

What don't you like about working at Apple?

"I don't like the lack of leadership, lack of institutional control, and lack of processes that make sense. There is no career tracking."

"I would make sure, above all else, that my people felt 100% supported by their leadership."

"I work with some amazing people. I love Apple products. Apple has great benefits."

"It's all cheery in the beginning. It gets super stressful later on."

"The stress from having to help so many people an hour is unbearable."

"Change the appointments system at the retail stores. The system wouldn't be so stressful for customers as well as employees."

"I like the incredible products and culture. Management is great. The focus on customers is everything. Training is top notch. Benefits are WOW!"

"Be yourself, dress comfortably, have fun, have eye contact, and interact with everyone."

"I don't like the low pay compared to industry, and the chaotic shift scheduling. There is only two weeks lead time on upcoming shifts."

"It seems that there is not enough workspace allocated to employees to do their job at maximum efficiency."
