What do you like about working at American Red Cross?

"I liked some of my coworkers, and that was it."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Like the other lab technician said, unless you are despirate and need a paycheck, DO NOT WORK THERE."

What don't you like about working at American Red Cross?

"I would have given this place a minus score if it was an option on this site. Management is a joke. The people who don't know stuff get to promote to supervisors. Supervisors don't know what they're doing. When one of them gave me annul assessment, he insisted my answer was wrong until I showed him the procedure. They only pick brainless tasks to do because they don't know how to do more complicated tasks. They retaliate when they do not like you, i.e. pick on you constantly, backstab you, give you bad work performance, keep sending you to freezers while the supervisor could not even stand 5 minutes in there. When there's an issue, the management all cover each other up so there's no place to get help. Management lies all the time. They "ok" your request but when something comes up, they deny it. No appreciation to staff whatsoever because their attitude is "nobody is irreplaceable." They do not care about morale or staff working condition. The job requires standing majority of the time and only certain tasks would allow you to sit down.... and there was a time that the management did not let staff to sit down just because the staff would "look too comfortable". Management always blame staff when something is wrong."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management: get rid of most of the management and hire people who actually care about the job and know how to do their job and how to treat people right."
