"A very rough corporate culture!"

"US Smokeless Tobacco is a world class manufacturer that relocated Franklin Park, IL operations to Tennessee. The Company was a highly desired employer in the Chicagoland area and offered tremendous opportunity to it's employees. The Franklin Park facility was shuttered in 2017/18 after 40+ years due to (Altria) operations consolidation. Their operations facilities continue to be preferred employers in Kentucky and Tennessee."

What do you like about working at Altria Group?

"Compensation and benefits are good and there is opportunity to learn."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It's a great place for a permanent career. Good pay and benefits."

What don't you like about working at Altria Group?

"I feel micromanage in that I don't have control of design decisions but I'm responsible for delivering the solution"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would develop and communicate a clear vision for my department and make sure each employee understands how we all work together"

"I have had a great experience in learning sales and account management."

"I enjoy my boss and the flexibility in the job. I am able to be creative in how I sell and the benefits are great."

"Be open and honest. The interview is very situational and a through background check is performed."

What don't you like about working at Altria Group?

"The work/life balance and the products that I sell. I am also very far from my boss and co-workers due to my geography."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To recognize that each territory and region are different and that it's important to have work/life balance."

What do you like about working at Altria Group?

"Structure and roles are clearly defined. The work is very meaningful."

"They are looking for people that are dedicated and competitive. Overall the interview process is not difficult."

What don't you like about working at Altria Group?

"Despite feeling as though I have an important role on the team, it is very stiff much of the time. I don't see myself in the tobacco industry a long time."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I really don't know that I would change the way the company conducts business."

What do you like about working at Altria Group?

"AGDC is a fast paced challenging company to work for. I really enjoyed the capability to make my own decisions based upon the business analysis I had done. I loved working with my coworkers and enjoyed the field sales aspects of the job and working with customers on mutually beneficial sales to both the customer and Altria's businesses."

"Have concrete examples of how you have succeeded in your last job (especially the most significant impact you had). Be prepared to answer behavioral type questions expressed as what was the challenge, what did you do, what was your measurable success"

What don't you like about working at Altria Group?

"Some of the technology was a little behind the current best available. We did receive new computers, hardware/software frequently, but it was somewhat cumbersome during the roll out of the technology."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Rely more on experienced hires for rural type territories as opposed to mostly university relations hires."

"I enjoy the automony of my schedule, as well as creating strategies for my unit through data analysis"

"Use STAR format when answering all quesitons and focus on your leadership experience."

"Upper management is not good at prioritizing so everything becomes equally important and we lose sight of initiatives that will grow the initiatives."

"I would engage my organization on how we could first and foremost improve our culture and employee happiness."

"I enjoy the autonomy, as well as the ability to analyze raw data and form strategic plans to grow the business."

"Always answer interview questions in STAR (situation/Task, action, result) and focus on examples where you have shown leadership that had a wide scope and impact."

What don't you like about working at Altria Group?

"No one knows how to prioritize so everything is equally important which leads to less focus on business growth initiatives. We are micromanaged."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would not micro manage. I would engage my employees to determine how our culture could improve first and foremost."
