"Great place to work at, especially if you are in the Northbrook headquarters, a lot of opportunities to grow within the company, as the company offers all the tools you need to improve your skills or learn new ones. Work-life balance is great, company promotes balancing your life, also offers many family-oriented events throughout the year."

"I work for allstate and in my 20+ years working with customers and corporations, this has been my favorite place to work to date. This company truly believes in taking care of their customers AND their agents."

"I've worked for Allstate for almost two years now and I have experienced what i would like to describe as a downward trend in their company policies and overall workplace satisfaction. They are steadily changing our company policies every few months and making work a little harder everyday."

"The claims service specialist is a challenging but rewarding position in the auto insurance business. The role is not customer facing instead your environment is set as a call center but made to feel very inclusive in a team setting. Overall, the compensation is average for the job duties and responsibilities with potential for promotion and lateral moves into specialized positions."

"Allstate, especially in Marketing and Corporate Relations, is a company filled with perks. It's a great place to be if you're not caught up in politics or surrounded by toxic personalities. Being surrounded by that day in and day out is draining and a waste of resources, and it oftentimes is tolerated."

"Large company. High Turnover. Does not value dedication and loyalty. Good company to learn the insurance business, and then get out. If you stay too long, your growth will be stifled instead of nurtured and you won't realize it because the company is so segmented that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Be careful of who you report to. One "green" manager can make or break your career. Performance can be evaluated very subjectively. Make sure you CYA."

"The company was really not willing to invest in the consulting staff they brought in. This may have been due to being on the verge of bringing in some Indian consulting companies. The FTE staff were unfriendly and not co-operative making it very difficult to complete task. Another consultant was brought in a few weeks after me. Despite being very unpopular with the staff, she was kept for 3 months after my contract ended. This seemed a very curious decision as I felt I was accepted by the staff a bit more."
