Kathryn Myers is working as a student teacher at Baker Elementary in San Jose as part of her master’s program in Santa Clara, CA—and she’s doing it in style! Myers looks sharp, elegant and ready to mold young minds in this stunning royal blue fitted dress from Anthropologie.
She keeps her jewelry to a minimum (so as not to distract the young’ns). And the dress is stylish, with a cute slightly draped neck detail, but a modest length. Beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogger at Shortcuts to Fabulous Lori Riviere agrees that fitted, tailored dresses are a great trend for your workplace wardrobe. Especially “Mad Men inspired tailored pieces,” she says, from “pencil skirts, form fitting cardigans, peplum and tailored dresses.”

Though she’s light on the jewelry, Myers is sporting a cute oversized ring to add just a touch of personality. You can also “add a little vintage flair with a brooch or pin that you can score from Etsy or Ebay,” Riviere says.
