Share what little bonuses that trickle down from the ivory tower more evenly and not try to fatten your wallets first. they make your money!!! When hiring a new employee, he/she should be at the lowest rung of the ladder for pay, not moved into the outgoing employees pay. You demoralize others who've been there a lot longer and deserve the raise."
