"I enjoy working at my company. Staff are nice, and working environment is too."
"I worked with DirectV for 4 years in the customer service department. While I enjoyed some aspects of the company (co-workers, fun environment, bonus), the company is too political in regard to job performance reviews and thus promotion opportunities. If you are willing to follow a script even if it is the wrong thing for the customer, able to stroke the ego of under trained management, and have a thick skin to deal with irate customers due to misinformation, it may be a good fit."
"Great products and projects with lots of talented people! Unfortunately the culture, management, and available tools make accomplishing work much harder than it needs to be. If you like a "sink or swim" environment with very little supervision - this is your company."
"Excellent organization and the leader in the industry."
"Good to work. Nice place to start."
"High stress, high paced environment with average salary. Good benefits, with plenty of areas of growth and exposure."
"I worked for DIRECTV since 1996 and it was a fantastic experience with a very professional group of people and reasonable management. Lots of travel and learning. Not so much formal courses but an extraordinary variety at work."
"Excellent place to work."
"I worked at Directv for 2 years as a contracting software test engineer. The work environment was stress free. The work attire was casual and the management did not micro-manage, as long as you put in your 1-3 problem reports daily. However, if a "show-stopper" was missed when National code rolled out then someone usually got chewed, sometimes were fired. Over-time was not mandatory and we were able to work whatever hours on the weekends. Over-all I enjoyed my time at DirecTV."
"I stayed with DIRECTV for 17 years and I enjoyed every minute of it. I admire the company, the drive, the business and the team. I had the room to grow in my career and the support of my colleagues for most initiatives I was tasked with."
"Great place to work and a very nice environment."
"Great company and nice work environment."
"I've worked for DirecTV - it's an okay company, but there's no room for growth. I'm not sure what else to say except that the company is fair, but there are too many older employees who just stay where they're at."
"I think this is a very good company to work for."
