CompuCom Employee

"I have worked for CompuCom since 2007. The organization I am in has had major changes in the past 4 years. My group has had 4 different managers in the past 2 years. Almost all of them great but I guess too much in their plate to handle the day to day operations. Getting promoted and getting the salary for the level you are takes forever as there are many people involved in the salary increase that by the time it is approved it has been already 9 months to a year since you submitte the request."

"I have worked for CompuCom for 2 years. They are a good company to work for but are not much on compensating employees for work well done. But they are a good company and are growing due to their efforts to keep the customer happy."

"I was outsourced from RCCL to CompuCom where I was at for a year (my seniority from RCCL transferred over to accumulate to 5 years). The company laid all of the RCCL ex employees off siting cut backs."

"I took this job because it was much closer to home than my old job. Within a week of me getting this job they told me the contract they had was in jeopardy and so was my job. By the end of the month I found myself barley scraping by as they handed me a job every once and a while. DO NOT WORK FOR THEM!!!!!!"

"I worked with this company as contractor, and enjoyed working there alone and with my team completing various projects. I recommend others to work with this company, as there are many opportunities to learn new things."

"I've worked for Compucom for 6 years off/on. Mostly contract jobs, A lot of them were not really taking a lot of brain power to do. Most were finished with time to spare. I was in lead tech in charge of 5 or 6 jobs, and trained some employees on the job. Most of the time it worked out well. They are one of the better contract companies I have worked for."

CompuCom Employee

"I have worked with CompuCom for the last couple of years. We are decentralized due to the requirement of our customer. So, as an employee, I have the ability to invent ways to make the work completed, per the customers' satisfaction. My relation with my management in CompuCom is great. The ability to move up in the company is almost none. Great starting point and great exposure to mid-level IT company."

"I have worked at CompuCom for over 6 years. There are too many managers, too many changes. They don't look like they appreciate or don't care about the input from non management employees. You are better off leaving the company for 6 months and come back later with a bigger pay then waiting for months and months for the committee to approve your raise."

"This job is an easy change of pace from Xerox, but as a job that I will be able to stick with, it would be hard because of low pay and low work load."

"I joined CompuCom in 2005 until present and found the company to be a good company to work for. I have a home office, travelling from home to clients all over. They are very helpful in tuition reimbursement but take a while to move up the ladder. They are improving in this area as many employees have voiced their opinions on this subject. They are the top outsourcing company in the United States based in Dallas, Texas. A new CEO was appointed some few months ago."

"I worked for Compucom for 3.5 years. I got to work with multiple vendor security products and was promoted three times. My team was always under staffed and I work 12 hours a day and weekends. My organization fired or lost 4 directors and the only 2 Operational manager we had in the 3 years I was there."
